Ancient Hunting In Revertera
Mythology Meets Archeology And Hunting
One will be the Greek world symbolised by the myth of Persephone – the goddess who emerges from the Underworld every six months, bringing fruit and flowers to the Earth – with a tasting of local products like Garaguso focaccia, baked as it was in ancient times.
The other is the Baroque world: hunting in the morning with Count Revertera a Palio between districts ending in a ceremony where all the participants will parade through the town’s streets.
Students from conservatoires in Basilicata will accompany the ceremony, playing old hunting music, accompanied by the town’s band. The schools in the town will be invited to make exhibitions with photographs taken during the events.
