The school also has its own community garden
We have just inaugurated the first community garden in the town of Matera and we are already working on the second one.
The workshop, which starts today, 3 October, and will continue throughout the week, concerns the redevelopment of the disused space in the Rione Spine Bianche district at the Pascoli Comprehensive Institute in Matera. Thanks to the collaboration provided by the Atelier delle Verdure (Vegetable Studio) and thanks also to 40 students from the faculty of Architecture at the Milan Polytechnic, as well as pupils, parents living in the district and the CNGEI (National Corps of Italian Boy Scouts and Girl Guides) and AGESCI (Association of Italian Catholic Guides and Scouts) scouts, the workshop will take place next weekend.
The inauguration of the community garden is planned for Saturday 8 October 2016 at 10:30 am with an entertaining musical picnic.
