United for Culture
Matera and Mantova, both Unesco World Heritage sites and respectively European capital of culture for 2019 and Italian capital of culture for 2016, today sign a memorandum of understanding to create and develop the conditions for the best means of cooperation. The cities are, in fact, the standard bearers of culture and creativity in Italy and Europe. The projects combine to enhance the great tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the two cities, as well as the union of the Basilicata and Lombardy regions.
